The recap of the last seven years
On June 29, 2017, I published my first article on my blog. To date, I’ve published 133 of them. From the very beginning, it’s been dedicated to cloud-native technologies. The vast majority of my posts were about AWS. Kubernetes popped up occasionally. There was also some stuff about Azure and GCP. But to this day, the lion’s share is still AWS-related articles.
When I started writing, there needed to be more material about AWS. Finding something in Polish was pretty tough, so I’ve been writing in Polish all this time. Today, the landscape looks different.
Besides the blog, I’ve had the awesome opportunity to share my AWS experiences with others during various training sessions, conferences, and workshops. I fondly remember the AWS Roadshow 2019, which I led with Łukasz Dorosz and Jarek Zieliński. It was a good time. 🙂
It was also interesting to compare AWS and Azure on several fronts, which I managed to do with Michał Furmankiewicz during 4Developers in 2019.
All along, I wanted to show what the cloud is about, how to tackle challenges, and how to shift your mindset so that solutions designed for AWS make the most sense. I hope I’ve gotten at least one person hooked on the public cloud and AWS during this time.
After seven years, the goals have shifted slightly. I’ve decided to close one chapter and start a new one. From now on, I’ll be publishing everything in English.
We’re kicking off in a few days with another monthly subjective roundup of AWS updates that brighten our lives.
Stay tuned.
